TCPT: How to manage Vehicle Mishaps

  1. Click: Transportation => Safety => Create Mishap Report

  2. Fill in the Mishap Report Header

    1. Select the “Mishap Unit”.

    2. Enter the Date-Time, Category Code, and Cause.

    3. Enter the Origin and Destination of the mission.

  3. Enter the Mishap Incident Location.

  4. Enter MTO / MTC Investigation Comments, Property Damage and Additional Notes. Then select “Create Mishap Report” green button at the screen bottom.

  5. On the next screen, Enter Equipment Involved in the Mishap.

    1. Select the Equipment Source: TCPT or Non-TCPT.

    2. Enter the equipment information.

    3. Enter Equipment Damage and Injury Description comments.

    4. Click: “Add Equipment”.

      1. NOTE: You can add additional equipment lines if needed.

  6. Add Passenger Information. Note you can add more lines as needed.

    1. Select the Passenger Source: TCPT or Non-TCPT

    2. Enter the passenger information

    3. Check the “Create a Traffic Citation…” box if required

    4. Click: “Add Passenger”

  7. Automatically Create a Traffic Citation for Passenger (if required).

    1. A driver citation can be created through the Citation module later if needed.

  8. The equipment and passenger information has been added to the mishap report.

    1. Continue to add equipment and personnel until all vehicles / passengers have been accounted for.

  9. Add Files (if required).

    1. Enter the file name caption and choose the file.

    2. Click: “Add File”

  10. The file has been added.

  11. After the investigation has ended, complete the Mishap Report.

    1. Click the “Options” tab.

    2. Click: “Complete”.

    3. Click: Complete this Mishap Report.

  12. The Mishap Report has been completed.

 


Mishap Report Manager

  1. Mishap Reports are visible under the Mishap Report Manager

  2. All Mishap Reports for the unit are displayed.

    1. Completed mishap reports can re-opened later. Click on the paper icon to view a mishap report.

  3. Click the Options tab

  4. Click: Undo Complete.

  5. The Mishap Report can now be edited.

 

Mishap Report Bulk Export

You can Export all Mishap Report records from the selected Unit, as well as any subordinate Units, into an Excel spreadsheet. If the Unit contains no Mishap Reports, an empty spreadsheet will be exported.

  1. Click: Transportation => Safety => Mishap Reports Bulk Export.

  2. Chose a unit from the pulldown and the click “Export”. The Excel spreadsheet will be downloaded into your Windows Download folder. Go there to retrieve it.
